Xiwu Group Corporation was incorporated in Chengdu City of Sichuan Province in 2001, which belongs to a high-tech enterprise controlled by a state key institute of scientific research--South-West Institute of Technical Physics (SITP).

SITP is a specialized research institute which was the first to develop laser technique and photoelectric application in China. With 48 years of development history, SITP has already won more than 20 prizes of state level scientific & technological achievements and over 200 awards of provincial and ministry-level appraisal achievements. Now it has reached domestic advanced level in several fields such as laser crystal materials, laser application technology, image processing technology and wireless transmission technology, etc.

Xiwu Group Corporation owns the only production line (implementation of GJB standards and production of military products) of silicon avalanche photoelectric detectors in China and also one of few production lines of large-area PIN photoelectric detectors in China, and has the largest base for R&D and production of laser crystal materials in China.
